Exciting News from LEGO: ‘Twilight’ Set Unveiled!
The iconic ‘Twilight’ series by Stephenie Meyer is making its grand entry into the world of toys with an exclusive set brought to life by LEGO.
LEGO has announced the arrival of a ‘Twilight’ themed set, showcasing the depiction of the Cullen family, a decision that emerged as a result of the voting on the Lego Ideas platform.
Stephenie Meyer’s ‘The Twilight Saga,’ which commenced its publication journey in 2005, spans across 5 main books and stands as a pinnacle in the realm of popular vampire literature.
Following the footsteps of popular brands like Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones, LEGO is stepping into Meyer’s fantastical world.
The long-awaited news for fans materialized with the official announcement of a LEGO replica of the Cullen House, a creation eagerly awaited by enthusiasts.
Fan Preference: Twilight in LEGO
On the LEGO Ideas platform, where enthusiasts share their designs seeking support, the ‘Twilight’ project, known under the pseudonym LobsterThermidor and designed by Nick Micheels, emerged. LEGO Ideas serves as a popular event where the company transforms fan-loved designs into reality.
The design features characters from the Cullen House, including Bella, Edward, Jacob, and Carlisle.
The exterior of the house stands out with numerous large windows framed by trees. The interior design boasts intricate detailing. The shared fan design showcases Bella’s birthing room, medical equipment, a baseball glove and bat for the vampire baseball game, and a piano for Edward to play Bella’s lullaby.
Moreover, the house’s version from the film, constructed by Nike director John Hoke in 2007, allowed fans to recreate the birthing scene from ‘Breaking Dawn.’ However, the release date of the LEGO version for fans remains undisclosed.
‘Twilight’ Resurfaces in Popularity
The first ‘Twilight’ movie premiered in 2008. However, particularly during the pandemic, the Twilight films experienced a renaissance. Many embraced vampire romance during quarantine, reviving the dwindling fandom.
In addition, Lionsgate initiated work on a ‘Twilight’ TV series last April, albeit with ambiguous details. This adaptation hints at a future where the Twilight brand might reignite conversations extensively.
